This example was made in ford's dearborn, michigan factory. The original "eleanor" was a customized 1971 ford mustang sportsroof that was featured in independent filmmaker "toby" halicki's 1974 film, cult-favorite "gone in 60 seconds." this resulted in the original "eleanor" being the only ford mustang to receive star title credit in a movie. The "eleanor" name was seen again, this time associated with a 1967 mustang fastback in the 2000 remake of "gone in 60 seconds" and this particular car is an imitation of this massively famous machine. Dressed in gray with black racing stripes and accents, the car's paint and trim are in overall excellent shape, with a lot of show and go! The car's windows are clear and crack-free with a deep tint. The car's lights are clear and haze-free, including the led taillights and the fog lights nestled below the grille. The car's bodywork is straight and solid, the engine bay is exceedingly tidy, the battery appears new and the car's bumpers fit well to the body. Each tire surrounds an american racing polished aluminum wheel. The tires and wheels are in excellent condition. Under that hood with a power bulge is a 289 cid v-8 high-performance cobra engine that was comprehensively restored and has an edelbrock power package, aluminum heads and headers, a flaming river rack-and-pinion steering conversation and upgraded suspension. The engine breathes via dual side exit exhausts. Mated to the engine is a c-4 three-speed automatic transmission. Inside, the car has a new black and silver pony interior. The front buckets and rear bench seats, the black carpet, and black headliner all are in excellent order. The car has a three-spoke grant aftermarket steering wheel while the inner door panels echo the rest of the interior's theme the stock temperature gauge is inoperable but the aftermarket one works. The center console and shift lever look just as good as the rest of the interior. Rounding out the interior is an am/fm stereo with cd player. These cars are known as "late 65's." the engine lineup was changed, with a 200cid "t-code" engine. Next up the ladder was a "c-code" 289cid engine with a two-barrelcarburetoras the base v-8. The dcelectrical generatorwas replaced by a new acalternatoron all fords (a way to distinguish a 1964 from a 1965 is to see if the alternator light on the dash says "gen" or "alt"). The mustang gt version was introduced as the "gt equipment package" and included av-8 engine(most often the 225hp (289), grille-mounted fog lamps, rocker panel stripes, and disc brakes. In the interior, the gt option added a different instrument panel that included a speedometer, fuel gauge, temp. Additionally, reverse lights were an option added to the car from august 1964 production. The mustang was originally available as either a hardtop or convertible, but during the car's early design phases a fastback model was strongly considered. In 1965, theshelby mustangwas born, it was available only in newly introducedfastbackbody version with its swept-back rear glass and distinctive ventilation louvers. The standard interior features of the 1965 mustang included adjustable driver and passenger bucket seats, an am radio, and a floor mounted shifter in a variety of color options. Ford added additional interior options during the 1965 model year. The interior decor group was popularly known as "pony interior" due to the addition of embossed running ponies on the seat fronts, and also included integral armrests, woodgrain appliqu accents and a round gauge cluster that would replace the standardfalconinstrumentation. Also available were sun visors, a (mechanical) remote-operated mirror, a floor console, and a bench seat. Ford later offered an under-dash air-conditioning unit, and discontinued the vinyl with cloth insert seat option, offered only in early 1965 models. One option designed strictly for fun was therally-pac. Introduced in 1963 after ford's success at that year'smonte carlo rallyand available on other ford and mercury compacts and intermediates, the rally-pac was a combination clock and tachometer mounted to the steering column. A 14" rim option was available for rally-pac and gt350r vehicles widening front and rear track to 57. 5".a compass, rear seat belts, a/c and back-up lights were also optional. Competition to this car in 1965 included dodge's dart and plymouth's barracuda. Current mileage on the odometer shows 159 miles and is understood to be miles since restoration. It is sold as is, where is, on a clean and clear, mileage exempt title. Tachometer✔ Bucket Seats✔ AM/FM✔ CD Player✔ Air Conditioning

1965 ford mustang d-code convertible "64" production mustang convertible same owner since 1979; 38 years! This example was built on july 27, 1964 at ford's dearborn, michigan facility and was originally delivered to the philadelphia, pennsylvania area for sale. The early production "64" mustangs are already becoming hard to come by but finding one that is opted with the 210hp d code 289 v8 in a convertible with a power top is next to impossible to find! These cars were the original "a code" mustangs and production was much lower than the following "a code" cars of latter years. Even though the mustang was introduced five months ahead of the traditional 1965 model year and fans popularly proclaimed early models as 1964 , all production cars received 1965 vins and were marketed as 1965 models. This particular early example has had the same loving, careful owner since 1979! The term "1964 " was coined by mustang enthusiasts to identify these early 1965 model year cars. Finished in wimbledon white (code m), this car's paint and trim are in very good condition. The windshield and side glass are clear and intact. The pony's lights are also clear and in one piece, including the taillights with the "64" stamped on the left and right units. The car rolls on whitewall tires with factory deluxe wheel covers and both tires and wheels are in very good condition. All of the mustang's body panels are solid and straight overall but there are some minor blemishes obvious at close range. The contrasting power-folding top is in good order and there's a blue tonneau cover to use when the top is folded down. The bumpers are in very good condition, the engine bay is very tidy and the battery looks very good while the trunk is in good order and features a full-sized spare tire. Even the smaller mustang logos on the front fenders look good. This mustang still retains a lot of its 1964 details such as the engine has a factory generator, the valve covers are painted gold, battery cooling vents (louvers),horns located inside the engine compartment with correct relay, falcon gauge bezel with gen light, "a" on the vent knob and the correct peddles and window handles. Inside, the blue interior, (code 82) with its blue crinkle vinyl seats, is in overall very good condition and mostly appears very original. The seats look great, front and rear; the matching carpet is in similar great shape. The blue instrument panel is in very good order. Mustang purists will note that this car has ford falcon gauge bezels and there is a generator idiot light on the instrument panel and the accelerator and brake pedals lack stainless steel surrounds. Also, the horn is inoperable. However, the three-spoke steering wheel looks as iconic now as it did when new. The inner door panels are in overall good condition though some paint chipping is evident and there are a couple of other, minor blemishes inside. The mirror glass and shift lever are in good shape and finishing off the interior is a factory am radio. Introduced early on april 17, 1964, (16 days after theplymouth barracuda) and thus dubbed as a "1964" by mustang fans, the 1965 mustang was the automaker's most successful launch since themodel a. The mustang has undergone several transformations since then and is the only current pony car to boast continuous production since its launch. In fact, the mustang created the pony car class of american automobiles - affordable sportycoupeswith long hoods and short rear decks and gave rise to competitors such as thechevrolet camaro, pontiac firebird, amc javelin, dodge challenger and plymouth barracuda plus a twin from 1979 to 1986 in the mercury capri. Current mileage on the odometer shows 96,439 miles. It is sold as is, where is, on a clean and clear, mileage exempt title.
